Mysuru: With the Karnataka High Court issuing directions for conducting Mysuru and Chamarajanagar District Co-operative Central (MCDCC) Bank elections, which was postponed several times due to various reasons, the MCDCC Bank elections is finally scheduled to take place on June 26.

The High Court, in its order earlier, had directed that the elections be held by the end of June, following which the election schedule has been announced for electing 13 Directors to the Bank, except for three seats, the matter of which is pending  in the Court.

 With the announcement of the election calendar, the candidates who hitherto were busily engaged in the inclusion of delegates, will now start their public campaign. The last date for filing of nomination papers is June 18, following which the scrutiny of nomination papers will take place on June 19. 

Last date for withdrawal of nomination papers is June 20. The election will take place on June 26, as per schedule.

 Now with the announcement of the schedule, the poll will take place for 13 of the 16 Directors posts of the Bank. The 13 Directors include 11 seats from PACCS (Primary Agricultural Credit Co-operative Society) of 11 taluks in the district, one seat from Housing Co-operative Society and one from other Societies.

However, the election to remaining 3 Directors posts will not take place for now, which include 2 from MyMUL and 1 from TAPCMS.
