Mysuru, Aug. 10 (AP)- Narasimharaja MLA Tanveer Sait inaugurated Anjuman Hall of Anjuman-e-Tarraqi Urdu (Hind) and felicitated Urdu toppers of SSLC, PUC and Degree at a function organised by Anjuman e Tarraqi Urdu ( Hind ) Mysore unit in city recently.

The function began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Book Quran by Md Idris, followed by Naath by Urdu poet Mubeen Munawer.

Mubeen Taj welcomed the chief guests, dignitaries and students. Secretary of Anjuman Atheeq ur Rahman presented the detail report of Anjuman. MLA Tanveer Sait felicitated former Chairman of Mysore District Wakf Advisory committee and President Anjuman-e-Ittehad-e-Islam Ariff A. Mehkri on the occasion.

Syed Shafi Ahmed, President of Anjuman presided. Md Ubaidulla Shariff, President of Anjuman-e-Tarraqi Urdu (Hind) Karnataka unit, Syed Ashraf, Vice President, Mubeen Munawar, former Chairman of Karnataka Urdu Academy and Secretary of Anjuman-e-Tarraqi Urdu (Hind) Karnataka unit, Prof. Masood Siraj, former HOD of Urdu, University of Mysore, Abid Athar Ulla of Shivammogga, K.C. Showkath Pasha, President of the Muslim Co-operative Bank Ltd, poet Syed Ahmed Rahil, Prof. Nabi Jan, Zareena Khursheed, Ibrahim Sait, Abbas Shariff, dental surgeon Dr. Suraiyya Tarannum and others were present.
