Mysuru: Mysuru athletes taking part in the Khelo India Winter Games organised by Sports Authority of India (SAI) have won gold and silver medals.

Srivatsa S. Rao won gold in 1000 mts long track and B.T. Harshith won bronze in 500 mts long track. In the 5000 mts relay, the men’s team of Srivatsa S. Rao, Omkar Yogaraj, G.V. Raghavendra and Dheemanth Mahesh and women’s team of Shrija S. Rao, Sridhanya P. Bharadwaj, Hiranmayi Ramganesh and Sahasra Nelaturi bagged silver medals respectively.

The team of G.V. Raghavendra, Omkar Yogaraj, Shrija S. Rao and Sahasra Nelaturi secured bronze in mixed relay event.

The athletes were coached by Ekalavya Awardee K. Srikanth Rao and Dr. Varsha S. Puranik at Rao’s International Track and KSR Indoor Roller Skating Track in city. Karnataka team with a total of five medals —1 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze medals — ended up in 5th position.
