Mysuru boy shines in Tennis at Vancouver

Mysuru boy Mustafa Raja wins both Singles and Doubles title in the 2021 Tennis BC 5 Star Provincials held at Stanley Park, Vancouver.

The 14-year-old tops the list in the 5 boys selected by British Columbia to play at the Nationals in the ’14 and Under’ category.

Nationals will be held by Tennis Canada in Montreal between Sept. 20 and 26, 2021.

Mustafa dominated the tournament and did not drop even a single set in Singles and Doubles. In the singles finals, Mustafa, seeded one, defeated the second seeded player Owen 6,0 and 6,1.

In the Doubles finals, Mustafa partnered with Eric William and defeated the top seeded pair Owen and Scotty 6,4 and 6,2.

Mustafa is a product of Nagaraj Tennis Centre and an alumnus of Excel Public School, Mysuru. He moved to Vancouver in 2019 and now trains at the Tennis Centre.
