Mysuru District Basketball League: Rising Star, Protec Association set up title clash

Defending champion Rising Stars BC and Protec Association BC set up a title clash in the men’s section in the Mysuru District Basketball Association’s (MDBA) Basketball League 2018, held at the University Courts here yesterday.

In the first semi-final, Protec Association BC, helped by some inspiring play by Aravind (22) beat Aryans SC 67-51, while in the other semi-final, Rising Star BC beat BEML Ltd., Mysuru 75-44. Amogh (17) and Shravan (12) played well for the winners.

Quarter-finals — BEML Ltd., Mysuru: 59 (Sagar 24) bt All Stars BC: 51 (J B Joshan 19); Rising Star BC: 74 (Amogh 16, Gokul 10) bt Mysore Basketball Club: 40 (Ninad 17), Aryans SC 43 (Kshithij 10) bt Afro Stars: 29 (Zabi 6).  Women’s League — DYES, Mysuru: 46 (Amulya 12) bt Aryans SC: 29 (Anagha 9); Aryans SC: 30 (Ananya 16) bt Mysore Basketball Club: 28 (Surabhi 10).
