Hassan, Oct. 23- Call it a divine blessing or the good Samaritan act, a woman who lost her gold chain at the abode of Goddess Hasanamba got the valuable intact, much to her relief.
The woman, hailing from Mysuru, had been to Hasanamba temple recently. She was jostling for space among the crowd, when she lost her gold chain worth Rs. 6 lakh, which she was wearing at that time. She felt disturbed for sometime, and got a flicker of hope, when she heard an announcement from the temple staff.
A good Samaritan person among the crowd, who had stumbled upon the valuable, handed over the same to Scouts and Guides cadets, who later passed on the valuable to temple staff. Subsequently, the staff announced on microphone.
The woman rushed towards the temple staff and provided the description of the valuable, especially its design, only to get the valuable back.
The temple staff were in full praise of the good Samaritan person, for his honesty in handing over the gold chain.
The doors of Hasanamba temple, which were opened on Oct. 9, were closed today, after 14 days of darshan.
