Nandi Ratha Yatra in city from Mar. 7

Mysuru: Nandi Ratha Yatra Samithi is organising a two-day Nandi Ratha Yatra in the city on Mar. 7 and 8.

Disclosing this at a press conference at Pathrakartara Bhavan in the city recently, Samithi Convenor Malavalli Manjunath said the Nandi Ratha Yatra will arrive at Manipal Hospital junction on Mysuru-Bengaluru Highway tomorrow at 3 pm. Nandi Puja will be performed at Veera Ganapathy temple on Ashoka Road.

From there the Ratha Yatra will go in a procession to Sri Venkataramanaswamy temple in Vontikoppal at 5 pm via Irwin Road and Dasappa Circle. A Shobha Yatra will begin from there accompanied by folk art troupes to reach Mahadeshwara temple in Paduvarahalli.

The valedictory will be held on Mar.8 at 10 am in front of Kote Anjaneyaswamy temple from where the Ratha Yatra will leave for Periyapatna passing via Devaraj Urs Road and Field Marshal K.M. Cariappa Circle (Metropole Circle), he said.
