Mysore/Mysuru: The 21st Kargil Vijay Diwas was celebrated on July 26 by 13 Kar Bn NCC-Mysuru on behalf of NCC Group Headquarters, Mysuru, by conducting a webinar on Google Meet. The event included videos of Kargil War, National War Memorial and Param Vir Chakra awardee of Kargil War. 

Two online competitions were held for cadets. In all, 35 cadets from each Battalion of Group HQ NCC participated. 

The programme began with  a brief introduction of the event by Capt. H.S. Nagendra Kuar, Associate NCC Officer from 13 Kar Bn NCC, who has been entrusted to conduct webinar along with Capt. Shriharsha from the same Battalion. 

National pledge was administered by Capt. Shriharsha. A total of 50 cadets participated in patriotic poem recitation in English and Hindi. The programme went on smoothly under the guidance of Col. P.T. Rajiv, Group Commander, NCC Gp HQ, Mysuru and Col. Rajesh Kumar, Commanding Officer, 13 Kar Bn NCC, Mysuru. 

Despite, the constraints of COVID-19 lockdown restrictions, the NCC cadets participated with enthusiasm, thereby making the commemoration of Kargil Vijay Diwas-2020 a grand success.
