There is a small lake in Dattagalli 3rd Stage, located beside the Ring Road leading to the H.D. Kote Road junction.

A few years ago, a metallic fence was installed around the lake to prevent encroachment. However, the lake’s maintenance has been completely neglected.

The water is now covered with green aquatic weeds, preventing proper aeration and emitting a foul smell. This stagnant condition has turned the lake into a breeding ground for disease-carrying insects.

Adding to the problem, residents in the surrounding area are dumping garbage and waste around the lake, particularly along the service road next to the Ring Road.

I urge the authorities concerned and the corporates to take immediate action to rejuvenate this neglected and dying lake.
