Mysuru: Dr. Rajkumar Musical Group has organised a singing contest of songs sung by S.P. Balasubramanyam (SPB) and S. Janaki tomorrow at 10.30 am at Town Hall here to be followed by a music programme ‘Ninade Nenapu’ at 5.30 pm.

Disclosing this at a press meet at Pathrakartara Bhavan here yesterday, Jayaram of the Group, said that the programme is in memory of singer late Lawrence, who was hailed as junior SPB.

He further said that the contest is open for contestants in the age group of 15 to 20 years.

The contest would be held under three categories and the winners would team with other singers to present the musical programme in the evening. The programme is open to public free but contestants have to pay the stipulated fees, explained Jayaram.

Programme Convenor Gururaj and singer Mallesh were present at the press meet.
