Mysore/Mysuru: University Grants Commission (UGC) Chairman has nominated Prof. D. Shivalingaiah as UGC-nominated Syndicate Member of Dr. Gangubai Hangal Music and Performing Arts University, according to a release from Music Varsity Vice-Chancellor (VC) Prof. Nagesh V. Bettakote.

Prof. Shivalingaiah had earlier served as the Registrar (Evaluation) at Mangalore University, six years as the Registrar (Administration) at Tumkur University and the Vice-Chancellor of Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) for three-and-a-half years.
