Nominated to Lalithakala Academy

Mysore/Mysuru: Artist D. Abhilash, a resident of Rajarajeshwari Nagar in city, has been nominated as a member for Lalithakala Academy, which functions under Kannada and Culture Department, according to Kannada and Culture Department Under-Secretary Geetha Bai.

A native of Dinkashettihalli in Pandavapura taluk, Abhilash studied his Fine Arts course in Mysuru and obtained higher degree at Gulbarga University. He has also built tableaux of various districts during Dasara for which he had bagged prizes thrice besides being a recipient of Lalithakala Academy award.
