Not only Siddaramaiah, every political leader has got MUDA sites: BJP MLA

November 18, 2024

Hubballi: Senior BJP MLA Basavanagouda Patil Yatnal, a bête noire of senior party leader B.S. Yediyurappa and State BJP Chief B.Y. Vijayendra, who is always in the news for his rather controversial remarks, has claimed that not only Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, but many other leaders from all political parties too have got sites from MUDA (Mysuru Urban Development Authority).

Speaking to press persons at Hubballi on Saturday, Yatnal maintained that the names of all political leaders who have benefited from MUDA, will come out if a CBI probe is ordered into the MUDA scam. Asserting that there are no ‘Harishchandras’ in any political party of today, Yatnal accused CM Siddaramaiah of protecting everyone by not handing over the case to CBI.

Sarcastically stating that what a wonderful man Siddaramaiah  might be for not handing over the MUDA scam to the CBI, he said that the CM has resorted to ‘adjustment’ politics.

Commenting on Siddaramaiah’s allegation that the BJP was offering Rs. 50 crore each to  Congress MLAs in order to bring down his Government, Yatnal urged the CM to order arrest of all those who had offered money, if at all he had any evidence.

Claiming that the BJP would win 150 seats if the Assembly polls were to take place now, he said he has told the BJP High Command not to resort to ‘Operation Lotus’ in order to destabilise the Siddaramaiah Government.

Asserting that he would function as an MLA until the next Assembly polls, he said that both Yediyurappa and Basavaraj Bommai fooled him, by failing to keep their assurance on making him a Minister.
