Officials told to mandatorily take part in Independence Day celebrations

With the Independence Day scheduled to take place at Torch Light Parade Grounds in Bannimantap on Aug.15 at 9 am, the District Administration has asked all Government servants, including the staff of Government-run Boards, Corporations, Authorities and Autonomous Bodies to mandatorily attend the celebrations.

The officials and staff should attend the official event at Torch Light Parade Grounds after hoisting the National Flag in their respective Departmental Offices, educational institutions and public offices by 8 am on Aug.15.

The District-level National Festivals Celebration Committee will open a temporary attendance office at the entrance of the venue and the officials are required to mark their attendance in the register there without fail.

District-level officers should issue an order asking all their subordinates to compulsorily attend. Also, officials must send the respective attendance list to the Office of the Committee. Action will be taken against absentees.
