Poems invited for ‘Swarajya-Surajya’ Kavigoshti

Akhila Bharatiya Sahitya Parishad, Mysuru, has organised a District-level Kavigoshti  titled ‘Swarajya-Surajya’ on Aug. 12 in the city to commemorate 76 years of Indian Independence. People of any age may recite their self-written poems at the poets’ meet. The poem must not exceed more than 12 to 20 lines, with a word limit restricted between 60 and 100 words. Poems can be written in any Indian language.

Three best poems will be selected for recital from among the 25 best poems chosen from various districts of the State at the State-level Kavigoshti to be held later. The first three best poems will be awarded Rs. 1,000 (first), Rs. 750 (second) and Rs. 500 (third) at the district-level Kavigoshti, while at the State-level, the best poems will receive Rs. 10,000 (first), Rs. 7,000 (second) and Rs. 5,000 (third) along with certificates. Interested aspiring poets may send their self-composed poems to Jayamala on her WhatsApp Number: 72596-82938 before Aug. 8, according to a press release.
