Mysore/Mysuru: The election to vacant Gram Panchayat (GP) seats in the district will be held on Dec.27.
The State Election Commission on Saturday announced the poll schedule, according to which polling will take place for 20 vacant seats in 18 GPs of Mysuru district. The poll notification will be issued on Dec.13 and the last date for filing of nomination papers is Dec.17.
The scrutiny of nominations will take place on Dec.18 and the last date for withdrawal of nomination papers is Dec.20. The polling will take place on Dec.27 from 7 am to 5 pm. The re-polling, if necessary, will be held on Dec.29.
The counting of votes will be taken up on Dec.30 and the results will be announced the same day.
With the announcement of the poll schedule, the Model Code of Conduct will be in force from Dec.13 to 30 in the limits of all GPs going to the polls.
