Preeth Appaiah bags silver at State Shooting Championship

July 23, 2025

Mysuru: Jammada Preeth Appaiah, a resident of Bannimantap, added another feather to her cap by winning the silver medal in the Women’s Masters category at the 13th Karnataka State Shooting Competition and   Championship 2025.

The Championship, organised by the Karnataka State Rifle Association, was held from July 1 to 21 at the Sports Authority of India Shooting Range and the Bangalore University Shooting Range in Bengaluru.

Her consistent precision and composure under pressure earned her second place on the podium — an improvement over her bronze-medal finish at last year’s State Meet.

A member of the Mysuru Sports Shooting Academy (MSSA), Preeth trains under the expert guidance of coach H.S. Vivek.

Her dedication to excellence extends beyond the shooting range. In 2023, she successfully summited Mount Kilimanjaro. Preeth is married to Advocate Jammada M. Aiyanna.
