Prison Ministry Mysuru Unit celebrates ‘Sankranti’ at Central Prison

Mysore/Mysuru: The Prison Ministry India (PMI), Mysuru Unit, an NGO, celebrated ‘Sankranti’ at the Mysore Central Prison here recently.

Swami Sarvajayananda Maharaj of Ramakrishna Ashram was the chief guest. In his address, the Swamiji gave a call to every person present that all of us are weak and falter but each one of us can be a saint if we correct ourselves.

V. Seshumurthy, Chief Superintendent, who presided, hoped that all the jail inmates would take Swamiji’s words seriously and wished their early release.

Ashe Khan, Superintendent, Mysore Prison, Dr. Michael Noronha, Coordinator, Karnataka PMI, Sr. Nascita, Asst. Coordinator, PMI Mysuru Unit and PMI volunteers were present.

Yellu-bella was distributed to all the officials and inmates of the prison. Sr. Nakshatra welcomed the gathering. Sr. Lilly proposed the vote of thanks. Bro. Dolphy compered the programme.
