Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) Offices badly need a thorough sprucing up. The Officers in-charge are failing to keep their surroundings tidy, free from dust and muck.

Furniture in most of these Offices is outdated, damaged, torn and probably uncomfortable. There is no feel good factor for the people either who visit these Offices. Why this casual and ‘let it go to hell’ attitude?

I visited Zone-7 Corporation Office near FTS Circle last week on some work and was appalled to see its upkeep (see pics). Files and papers were scattered and kept haphazardly. A lady was working in a dungeon-like room without electricity. She said ‘UPS is not functioning and no one cares’, when I asked her how she manages to work in such pathetic conditions.

Can we ask the MCC Commissioner and the others concerned to get their act together and make, especially, the Zonal Offices public-friendly?
