Risk of heavy-duty trucks along Hunsur Road

April 5, 2025

Sir,

In spite of the long-standing ban on heavy-duty trucks along Hunsur Road between Premier Studios and Hinkal Ring Road junction, these vehicles continue to ply the stretch in blatant violation of traffic regulations.

The restriction was imposed years ago following a series of fatal accidents caused by reckless truck operators. Although Traffic Police are stationed near the signal, no visible action is taken to curb these violations.

It is imperative that authorities act before another major mishap occurs. Traffic Police must enforce existing ban on heavy vehicles along this route to ensure the safety of road users.

Notably, the vehicle in question has partially covered its registration number plate, to evade detection by traffic cameras and escape penalties.
