Nanjangud:  An incident of a rowdy-sheeter obstructing the Police in performing their duties and later being taken into custody by the Police, has been reported at Nanjangud Town Police Station on Monday.

The accused has been identified as Ravikumar.

The Police, who filed an FIR against Ravikumar, produced him before a Court on Tuesday, which remanded him to judicial custody.

Ravikumar was summoned to the Police Station in connection with a fight over cable operation.

During interrogation, the accused allegedly abused Investigating Officer C.U. Savi and said that they (Police) were supporting the complainant and including his (Ravikumar) name in the rowdy-sheeter list besides pushing Constables Nagendra and Rangaswamy who were on duty.

He was taken into custody on Monday night and was produced before the Court yesterday.
