Kannada and Culture Department will organise Samskrutika Sourabha, Yuva Sourabha and Chiguru programmes in Mysuru (2025-26). Applications have been invited from artistes who want to perform in these programmes. Applications should be submitted to the Office of the Assistant Director, Kannada & Culture Department, Karnataka Kalamandira, Mysuru, before July 8 (5.30 pm).
Samskrutika Sourabha: The Samskrutika Sourabha programme includes Classical Music, Karnatak/ Hindustani Vocal/ Instrumental Music/ Sugama Sangeetha/ Vachana / Folk Songs/ Group Dance/ Dance-Drama/ Folk Art Troupe/ Drama, Yakshagana, Mudalapaya, Bayalata Gombe Mela Gamaka/ Katha Keertana etc. The artistes should be B, B-High and A Grade artistes of AIR and only artistes who have been conferred awards given by the Government can apply.
Yuva Sourabha: The Yuva Sourabha programme includes art forms such as Sugama Sangeetha/ Vachana/ Folk Songs/ Group Dance/ Dance-Drama/ Folk Art Troupe/ Drama, Yakshagana, Moodalapaya, Bayalata, Gombe Mela/Mono Act, etc. Talented young artistes in the age group of 15-30 years can apply.
Chiguru: The Chiguru programme includes art forms such as Classical Music, Karnatak/ Hindustani Vocal, Instrumental Music, Sugama Sangeetha, Vachana, Folk Songs, Group Dance, Dance-Drama, Drama, Yakshagana, Moodalapaya, Bayalata, Gombe Mela, Mono Act, etc. Talented children in the age group of 8-14 can apply.
