Mysuru: SHABD- 2018, a national-level literary festival held annually at Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering (SJCE), Mysuru and organised by the SJCE Editorial Board, will be conducted on Feb. 24 and 25. This annual festival aims at encouraging talent in English and Kannada literary fields as well as art and photography. Being the 12th consecutive edition, the festival will retain its uniqueness by being open to students from all disciplines.

The fest will be inaugurated by Lohitashwa, veteran actor and retd. English Professor. Other guests include Dr. B. G. Sangameshwara, Vice-Chancellor, JSS S&TU and Dr. K. S. Lokesh, Registrar, JSS S&TU. The function will be presided over by Dr. T. N. Nagabhushan, Principal, SJCE.

The main event, which is expected to be attended by over three thousand participants from in and around Mysuru, will consist of 20 events. Spot registrations will be entertained.
