Shivarudrappa (Swamy), Congress leader and a resident of Saraswathipuram, passed away following brief illness at a private hospital in city yesterday. He was 68. He leaves behind his wife Jayalakshmi, three sons including MCDCC Bank Doddakavalande Branch employee S. Santosh, daughters-in-law, grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. Last rites were held at Jayanagar Burial Grounds this morning, according to family sources.
