Mysuru: Mysuru Sports Shooting Academy (MSSA) emerged as the overall champion at the 13th Karnataka State-level Shooting Competition and Championship by clinching the prestigious rolling trophy in the 10m Open Sight Air Rifle event.
The Championship was held at the SAI Shooting Range in Bengaluru from July 1 to 21.
The Club’s stellar performance was led by multiple medal-winning shooters across age groups, with nearly 40 participants representing MSSA in various categories.
Individual Achievers
S. Vaishnavi bagged gold medals in both the Senior Women and Junior Women categories, scoring 386 out of 400 — the highest score across all events.
M. Rishitha won bronze in the Sub-Youth Women category with a score of 371.
Jammada Preeth Appaiah secured silver in the Master Women category.
B. Chethan earned bronze in the Senior Men category with 382 points.
Devaarya Srinivas Shetty dominated the Sub-Youth, Youth and Junior categories with silver medals in all three, scoring 378.
Runav Cariappa Mandepanda won bronze in the Junior Men and Sub-Youth Men categories with a score of 375.

In addition to the medals, MSSA shooters Avni Satyendra (Sub-Youth, Youth and Junior Women) and Aashish Emani (Junior Men) qualified for the upcoming South Zone Championship and G.V. Mavalankar Championship.
