Students seek Government Engineering College in District

Mysuru: Students from various Colleges staged a protest demanding sanctioning of Government Engineering College to the District.

The students, who raised slogans  under the banner of All India Democratic Students Organisation (AIDSO), at Ramaswamy Circle here yesterday, demanded that the Government Engineering College should be opened in the district. Basic infrastructure facilities should be provided at all Government Colleges, followed by scholarship on time and hostel and bus facilities connecting the rural areas.

For the last 68 years, AIDSO is involved in inculcating the ideals of great personalities among the students. The organisation is also making constant efforts towards saving the Government Schools and Colleges.

AIDSO District President Subhash, Vice-President Asiya Begum, District Secretary Chandrakala, Executive Committee member Swati, Nitin, Hemalatha, Chandrika, Chandana and others took part in the protest.
