Lakshmamma, a resident of Kanakagiri, passed away this morning in city. She leaves behind one son, grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. Last rites were held at the foot of Chamundi Hill this afternoon, according to  family sources.

Madan (Madesh), a PE teacher at Mullur Government School in Kollegal taluk, passed away at a private hospital in city on Monday. He was 55. He had earlier served as PE teacher at Ashokapuram Government School in city for many years. Last rites were performed today at his native place Hondarabalu village in Kollegal.

Sobane Manchamma (85), mother of senior folk artiste Malavalli M. Mahadevaswamy, passed away on Tuesday at a private hospital in Bengaluru following brief illness. She leaves behind five sons and a host of relatives and friends. Last rites were performed at Krishnapura in Malavalli today.

L. Gowramma (83), mother-in-law of District Minister S.T. Somashekar, passed away at Summanahalli in Bengaluru yesterday afternoon.
