Why take the name of donkeys when Congress has horses? Sreenivasa Prasad asks CM

January 14, 2018

Mysuru:  Stating that there are a number of horses in the Congress to stake claim for the CM’s post, senior BJP leader and former Minister V. Sreenivasa Prasad has asked Chief Minister Siddharamaiah why he has taken the name of a donkey for the CM’s post.

Speaking to press persons at a private hotel here on Saturday, Prasad, referring to PWD Minister Dr. H.C. Mahadevappa’s recent statement that dogs bark at elephant, in an indirect reference to him (Prasad), the BJP leader said that there were many dalit leaders like Mallikarjun Kharge, Dr. G. Parameshwara and K.M. Muniyappa, who were capable of becoming the CM and Siddharamaiah is neglecting their seniority and is projecting Dr. Mahadevappa cunningly.

Claiming that the people of the State are intelligent enough to understand who is a dog and who is an elephant, Prasad asked Siddharamaiah why he was batting for a donkey, in an indirect reference to Dr. Mahadevappa, when there were a number of horses in the Congress party.

Prasad also wondered why Siddharamaiah has stopped making statements that he will be the CM again.

Continuing his tirade against the CM, Prasad said that Siddharamaiah and other Congress leaders may be insane when they say that AICC President Rahul Gandhi will become the PM in 2019.

Ridiculing Rahul Gandhi’s appointment as AICC President when he has a record in defeats, Prasad maintained that Sonia Gandhi, who could never make her own speech, had been AICC President for 19 years.

Terming Siddharamaiah’s statement likening RSS, Bajrang Dal and other Hindu outfits members to terrorists, the BJP leader said it was an irresponsible statement.

Alleging that the CM has no hold on his words, he accused him (CM) of issuing provocative statements and failing to promote peace and harmony in the society. Vowing to teach a lesson to Siddharamaiah in the coming Assembly polls, Prasad thundered that the CM will come to know who he (Prasad) is in the second week of February.

Former MUDA Chairman K.R. Mohan Kumar, City BJP President Dr. B.H. Manjunath, H.V. Rajeev, Shivanna and others were present at the press meet.
