Ten days of COVID Curfew from Apr. 27: District sees 24,098 positive cases, 112 deaths and 13,117 discharges

Mysore/Mysuru: Mysuru district has seen a total of 24,098 COVID positive cases, 112 deaths and 13,117 discharges of COVID patients from hospitals in 10 days from Apr. 27 (the day COVID Curfew was imposed).

During the 10 days, the district saw the highest positive cases of 3,500 on Apr. 30, highest deaths of 18 on May 6 and highest discharges of 2,341 COVID recovered patients from various hospitals in the district on May 6.

While the highest of 3,500 positive cases was recorded on Apr. 30, 2,529 cases was recorded on May 1, 2,750 cases on May 2, May 3 recorded 2,685 cases, 2,293 cases on May 4, 2,790 cases on May 5 and 2,531 COVID positive cases was reported on May 6.

Two digit death figures was reported from Apr. 28 (11 deaths), Apr. 29 saw 12, Apr. 30 recorded 13, May 3 saw 14 deaths, 10 deaths were reported on May 4 and 5 and May 6 recorded the highest of 18 from Apr. 27 to May 6.

Discharges of recovered COVID patients from various hospitals in the district, has seen a significant rise from Apr. 27 till May 6. While 679 patients were discharged on Apr. 27, 882 were discharged on Apr. 28, 955 on Apr. 29, 1,078 on Apr. 30, May 1 saw 1,424 patients getting discharged, 1,126 were discharged on May 2, May 3 recorded 1,605 discharges, 952 on May 4, 2,075 on May 5 and the highest of 2,341 discharges of recovered patients was recorded on May 6. 

The district has 16,763 active cases, according to the District Media Bulletin as on May 6.
