Mysore/Mysuru: City’s Thanya Shadakshari has been selected to attend the Indian team swimming camp for the preparation of the upcoming 11th Asian Aquatic Championships to be held between Sept. 28 and Oct. 1 at Naranpura Sports Complex, Ahmedabad.

She is among the 22 women swimmers to have been selected for the Indian camp ahead of the Championship. The selection was announced by Swimming Federation of India (SFI) General Secretary Mohal Chokshi recently.

Thanya is currently pursuing her I PUC at Jain International Residential School (JIRS) in Kanakapura, Bengaluru South district (formerly Ramanagara). She is the daughter of S.P. Shadakshari and N. Shwetha, residents of J.P. Nagar, Mysuru. Thanya currently trains under renowned coach Gagan Ullalmath at JIRS.
