Three booked for assaulting student with cement brick

Mysore/Mysuru: Vijayanagar Police have registered a case against three persons on charges of assaulting a B.Tec student on his head with an interlocking cement brick.

The student, who was assaulted is D. Dhruva, a resident of Gayathripuram in city. Acting on the complaint from Dhruva’s father M.L. Diwakar Manju, a case has been registered against G. Darshan, Hiten,  Roy and others.

In his complaint, Diwakar stated that, on Oct. 31, his son Dhruva along with his friends had gone to a fresher’s event at Bogadi, during which the three accused had abused his son using foul language.

On Nov. 11 at about 8 pm when his son was coming home after having coffee on Kalidasa Road, four persons including the three accused came face to face during which the three accused along with others assaulted his son and one of them hit his son’s head with a cement brick, as told by his son to him. Vijayanagar Police have registered a case  and are investigating.
