Mysore/Mysuru: ‘Kadamba Rangotsava,’ a three-day Theatre Festival, organised by the city’s renowned theatre group ‘Kadamba Rangavedike’ in association with the Directorate of Kannada and Culture, Bengaluru, will take place at Kirurangamandira in Rangayana premises from Mar.2 to 4.
Rangayana Director Addanda C. Cariappa will inaugurate the Fest at 6.30 pm on Mar. 2.
Kannada and Culture Assistant Director H. Channappa and theatre artiste Venkatesh Mariammanahalli will be the guests of honour.
Kadamba Rangavedike President Rajashekar Kadamba will be the chief guest.
Mar.2: ‘Anna Vali,’ a social and mythological play, will be staged by Udupi-based theatre troupe Snehajeevi’ at 7 pm. The play is directed by Ganesh
Rao Yelluru.
Mar.3: ‘Door Number Eight,’ a humorous social play, will be performed by Dhwaninaada Theatres at 7 pm. The play is directed by R.C. Dhananjaya.
Mar.4: The play ‘Kantu’ will be enacted by Samashti, a Bengaluru-based theatre group, at 7 pm. The play is directed by Manjunath Badigera, according to a press release.
