TiE Mysuru announces cash prize to Pitchfest-2021 winner

Mysuru:  The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE), Mysuru Chapter, had conducted TiE Women Pitchfest-2021 for Women Entrepreneurs recently.

More than 28 teams from 3 States and 5 districts across the country participated in the first edition of the Pitchfest. As part of the competition, teams pitched their ideas to the panel of successful women entrepreneurs and Angel Investors. Five teams made it to the final round.

1. Practise Management is providing clinic management solutions for struggling healthcare practitioners. Practise Management is founded by Sangeetha Sharaff.

2. Les Aider Wellness LLP. is a FinTech Startup, which has developed a reminder App FinPrompt for all renewals and maturity dates for the non-tech- savvy people. Les Aider Wellness LLP is founded by Vinita More.

3. Anargya Ecotech Pvt. Ltd. has developed a technology which would capture the CO2 from the industrial emissions and convert it into dry ice. Anargya Ecotech is Co-founded by Neha Dhanaram.

4. Sapientury Pvt Ltd. is an EdTech Startup fostering experiential learning in engineering education by hosting project-based courses online, coupled with home-delivered  Do It Yourself Kits.

5. Pro Rurals India Pvt. Ltd. is a Farm to Pack venture, specialising in Indian Spices and Native crops from the place of origin. Pro Rurals India is founded by Ramya Bopanna.

The panel of judges including Revathy Ashok, Angel Investor, Co-Founder, Strategy Garage, Bangalore, Geetha Ramamurthy Co-Founder and CEO, GiGa Innovation Centre, Board Member, TiE Bangalore Chapter and Priya Nagaraj, Director, Strategic Partnerships, Deshpande Startups, Hubballi, evaluated pitches on parameters like innovation, scalability, market opportunity, commercialisation and business model.

The winner — Team Sapientury — will receive Rs. 50,000 (Fifty Thousand) cash prize from TiE Mysuru Chapter.

All teams will receive one-year TiE Mysuru Associate Membership and participation certificates. TiE Charter Members will continue to offer mentoring support to the teams to scale their business.

A series of free workshops and mentoring sessions were organised by TiE Mysuru for the benefit of the teams. All teams were mentored and guided by TiE Mysuru Chapter Members.

Ajith Pai, President of TiE Mysuru, said: “TiE Mysuru strives to provide the necessary enabling ecosystem to women entrepreneurs and Startups to grow and scale their ideas through such initiatives in Mysuru Region.” Dr. Shrilakshmi Desiraju, Charter Member and Chair, TiE Mysuru Women Pitchfest 2021 and other charter members contributed to the success of the event.
