Mysuru: Bettadapura Police have solved seven burglary cases by arresting two burglars and recovering stolen items worth Rs. 4.75 lakh from them.
On Dec. 30, 2024, burglary had taken place at SMH Hardware Stores on PH Road in Bettadapura Police limits following which a complaint was lodged. A team of Police, led by Bylakuppe Circle Inspector M.K. Deepak, which conducted an operation, arrested two burglars on Monday in connection with the burglary.
Following the arrest, the Police have solved a total of seven cases including one case each registered at Bettadapura, Srirangapatna Rural, Mandya rural, Malavalli Rural and Maddur Town Police Stations and two cases in Hunsur Town Police Station.
Based on the information provided by the two accused persons, the Police have recovered stolen items worth Rs. 4.75 lakh including four wheels of a car worth Rs. 50,000, iron cutter worth Rs. 5,000, tool kit worth Rs. 10,000, drilling machine worth Rs. 5,000, three two-wheelers worth Rs. 4 lakh and Rs. 5,000 cash from them.
Superintendent of Police (SP) N. Vishnuvardhana has lauded Bettadapura Inspectors Shivashankar (Law and Order) and Swamy Nayaka (Investigation) and staff for the success.
