I want to draw attention to the deplorable state of the road stretch between JSS Dental College and LIC Circle in Bannimantap, which has become a nightmarish ordeal for drivers.

The removal of approximately 4-5 road humps, carried out by the Mysuru City Corporation authorities, has resulted in significant inconvenience and hazards for motorists. The reasoning behind the removal of these road humps remains unclear. It has been suggested that their presence posed obstacles to the operation of new electric buses.

However, regardless of the rationale, it is the haphazard manner in which the removal was executed that has caused immense nuisance and concerns. The humps were crudely scraped off using an excavator, leaving behind dangerous ditches that rapidly worsened within a month. Shockingly, the authorities have shown no interest in adequately completing  the work or addressing the resulting hazards.

One cannot help but wonder if the authorities will only take notice and respond after unfortunate accidents occur on this stretch.
