Use lockdown time to update knowledge: Yaduveer

Mysore/Mysuru: Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar, a member of erstwhile Mysore royal family, has appealed students to take advantage of the current lockdown to study and improve knowledge.

He was speaking after virtually inaugurating the 50-day online  training programme for banking recruitment organised by Karnataka State Open University (KSOU), Competitive Examination Training Centre here yesterday.

Yaduveer said  that KSOU was working to educate the youths and advised youths not to waste time but  read books and update knowledge. KSOU Vice- Chancellor Prof. S. Vidyashankar said that knowledge was something that cannot be purchased.  The varsity was active even during the current Corona crisis. Last year, they had held training for the Civil Services Examination.

Registrar Prof. R. Rajanna, Finance Officer A. Khader Pasha and Training Co-ordinator Jainahalli Sathyanarayana and others were present.
