Sri Nadabrahma Sangeetha Sabha is organising a Karnatak Classical vocal concert by Vidu. Pusthakam Ramaa at its premises on JLB Road in city on June 22 at 6 pm for Sri T.V. Srinivasan Memorial Concert sponsored by Smt. and Sri Nagarajan Srnivasan.
Ramaa will be accompanied by Vid. Keshava Mohan Kumar on violin, Vid. R. Adamya on mridanga and Vid. Shamith Gowda on ghata.
Vidu. Pusthakam Ramaa hails from a family of music. Her mother Indira was her first teacher. Her aunt M.K. Saraswati, an acknowledged Vainika, initiated Ramaa to music. Later she received training from T.R. Srinivasan, a senior vocalist. Ramaa’s unchallenged supremacy in music was amply acknowledged in every competition.
Ramaa completed her Master’s degree in Music with distinction from Mysore University. An ‘A Top’ Grade artiste of AIR, she received her advanced training from Vidu. Nagamani Srinath and R.K. Srikantan with a rich input of resources.
On June 23 at 6 pm, the vocal concert by Vid. M.S. Deepak will be in memory of erstwhile Secretary M.H. Raja Rao sponsored by family and friends & Lakshmamma & M.V. Venkatasubbaiah Memorial Concert sponsored by late M.V. Ramachandra Rao.
He will be accompanied by Vid. Kritik Kaushik on violin, Vid. Pawan Masur on mridanga and Vid. Kartik Pranav on morching.
Vid. M.S. Deepak, son of K.V. Shantharam and H.S. Shylaja, is an E&C Engineer by qualification. He is an eminent Karnatak Classical vocalist and Karnatak Classical mandolin player.
His vocal training started under the tutelage of Vidu. Vimalamma, Vid. Guruprasad and Vidu. Pushpa Srinivasan; and his mandolin instrumental training started under the tutelage of Vid. Prasanna Kumar. He had the fortune of being trained in mandolin by Mandolin Wizard U. Srinivas.
He is pursuing professional vocal training under the able guidance of Ganakalabhushana Vid. R.K. Padmanabha.
Nadamrutha, a school of music, was founded by him.
