Mysuru: Senior musician Vidu. Mysore M.R. Sudha and her students will be paying tributes to Mysore Vasudevacharya by presenting a concert at Vasudevacharya’s residence near Agrahara in city on Jan. 12.

Vidu. M.R. Sudha comes from the music family of Vid. M.J. Srinivasa Iyengar, known to have been a torch-bearer of the ‘Mysore Veena Parampare.’ Sudha was initiated into vocal music by her father M.J. Ramaswamy Iyengar, a knowledgeable and well-informed vocalist. Later on she was brought under the tutelage of well-known vocalist and eminent music teacher Prof. Gouri Kuppuswamy, who came from the GNB school. Sudha, a B-High graded artiste of AIR, has been a regular performer both in Karnataka and outside.
She has sung at various Sabhas in Chennai, including Sri Parthasarathy Swamy Sabha, where she has won a prize for her performance during the Sabha’s 100th year concert series. Vidu. Sudha has been a much sought-after music teacher also.
Vidu. Aditi is an accomplished and one of the leading violinists today. She took to playing violin at the age of 4 and has been a disciple of Vid. H.K. Narasimha Murthy. In 2011, at the age of 21, Aditi became one of the youngest violinists to receive ‘A-grade’ from the AIR.
Vid. Radhesh and Vid. Ramesh, from the PGL School, are both well-known percussionists in the State.
