Mysore/Mysuru: In an alleged botched up surgery, a 45-year-old woman is suffering from damage to urinary bladder. A complaint has been lodged in this regard at Devaraja Police Station, a year ago, but the Police are yet to initiate action.
Lakshmi of Metagalli has accused a doctor of Cheluvamba Hospital for damaging her urinary bladder, while performing a surgery for acute stomach ache. Alleging medical negligence, she has appealed for justice for the pain she has to endure for the blunder committed by the doctor.
In her complaint, Lakshmi has stated that following stomach ache she had been to Cheluvamba Hospital. The doctor suspected it to be a case of tumour in abdomen and suggested to operate the same. After a few tests, surgery was performed.
As she experienced ‘leakage of urine’ (urinary incontinence), she went to the doctor again, who diagnosed it as a case of damage to urinary bladder and referred to Nephro Urology Department at K.R. Hospital. Even after being treated there, she continues to experience the acute pain.
