Malavalli: In a heart rending incident, a 36-year-old woman ended her life along with her two children by hanging at her residence in Gulagatta of the taluk late last night.

Sunitha (36) and her children Priyanka (16), Prajwal (13) are the deceased.

While Priyanka had appeared in the ongoing SSLC exam, Prajwal was awaiting his seventh standard exam result it is learnt.

Sunitha had entered into wedlock with Jagadish alias Jagga  18 years ago in what was said to be a love marriage. But Jagadish suspecting his wife Sunitha’s fidelity of late, used to frequently pick up quarrels with her.

A deeply dejected Sunitha, along with her children Priyanka and Prajwal, hanged themselves from a ceiling fan in the house, hugging each other, in an apparent suicide pact.

The incident came to light this morning.

Sunitha has reportedly left behind a suicide note, in which she is said to have blamed her husband Jagadish alias Jagga and one Mohan for the domestic disharmony, which forced her and her children to take his extreme step.

The Malavalli Rural Police, who have registered a case in this regard, are investigating.
