Mysore/Mysuru: A Women and Youth Empowerment Centre established by CREDIT-i, Mysuru (Centre for Rural Education Development and Innovation Technology of India), will be inaugurated in the city tomorrow (Aug. 24).
Announcing this at a press meet here yesterday, CREDIT-i Managing Trustee M.P. Varsha said that the Centre is established in memory of his wife Vanajakshi, who passed away a couple of years ago. The ‘Vanajakshi Varsha Women and Youth Empowerment Centre’ will be inaugurated by ZP CEO K.M. Gayathri in Gowrishankarnagar here at 10.30 am tomorrow. MLA T.S. Srivatsa will be the chief guest. It will also function as a Counselling Centre, provide short-term lodging facility for professional social workers and for students who come to city for education and in search of jobs. Also, voluntary organisations would be provided the auditorium for free, he added.
CREDIT-i has been in social activities for the past 15 years and this new Centre is an addition to the services rendered by it. For more details, contact Mob: 94489-88746.
