As part of International Women’s Day, the Maharani’s Arts College in association with Women Atrocities Enquiry Committee, Samskrutika Vedike, Abhivyakti Vedike and Maharani’s College Alumni Association, will be organising a programme at the College premises at 10 am on Mar.8.

Dr. Swarnamala Sirsi, faculty, Yuvaraja College (Autonomous) will inaugurate the programme.

Dr. Madhuvana Shankara, Assistant Professor, Hemagangothri, Hassan, will be the main speaker. Jayalakshmamma, a practitioner of natural farming from Chikkarale in K.R. Pet taluk and Sushma, a social worker working with Samaja Seva Trust, will be felicitated on the occasion.

Free health camp for women

Siri Caree IVF Centre at Gopala Gowda Shantaveri Memorial Hospital is conducting a two-day free camp for Gynaec issues and infertility patients from tomorrow between 10.30 am and 1.30 pm.

Special screening at K.R. Hospital

The Department of Health and Family Welfare has organised a special free health screening camp for women at K.R. Hospital, Cheluvamba Hospital and Jayadeva Cardiology Centre tomorrow from 9 am to 4 pm.

Health Assistants and Asha activists have been asked to motivate rural women and bring them for the special camp.

Women’s Conference

The All India Insurance Employees Association (AIIEA) will be organising a working women’s conference at 11 am tomorrow at Hotel Siddhartha in city.

Geetha, State President of Akhila Bharatha Janavadi Mahila Sanghatane will inaugurate the conference, according to a press release.
