As part of World Senior Citizens Day, the Office of the District Disabled Welfare Officer, will be conducting  District-level cultural contests for senior citizens (both men and women) at Senior Citizens Day Welfare Centre, Green Institute for Rural Development and Training,  Nimishambanagar in the city  at 10 am on Sept. 11.

The cultural contests include singing and mono-acting. The contests will be held under 2 categories — 60 to 69 years and above 70 years of age. The last date for registration is Sept.10.

Also, District-level sports competitions for senior citizens will take place at Chamundi Vihar Stadium in Nazarbad at 10 am on Sept. 13. The competitions include musical chair, brisk walking, throwing ball into the bucket etc. The last date for registration is Sept. 10.
