Mysuru: Late evening rains did not deter the audience from enjoying the dance performances of students on the penultimate day of Yuva Sambhrama-2024 at the Open Air Theatre in Manasagangothri yesterday. The students performed to the songs displaying patriotism and equality.

Yesterday’s programmes also witnessed students paying tributes to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and displaying their affection to Kannada language and land.

Students of Bharathi First Grade College, Malavalli, performed to a patriotic song ‘Jaggadu Jaggadu Yarigu Nam India’ paying tributes to India soldiers. Meanwhile, the students of Seshadripuram Degree College spread the message of ‘Vande Mataram’ holding the national symbols Lotus, Peacock, Tiger and the National Emblem.

Later, the students of Sri Sathya Sai Industrial Training Institute, Hunsur, spread the message of equality and also paid tributes to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. This was followed by a performance by students of Morarji Desai Residential School & College, Nanjangud, who created awareness about blood donation among the audience.

Students of Kodagu’s Siddapura Composite PU College and Gonikoppal Cauvery College, wearing traditional attire, showcased the rich Kodava culture.

This was followed by folk performances by the students of Abhinava Bharathi PU College, Mandya, Government First Grade College, Gundlupet, Belikere College, Government First Grade College, Naguvanahalli, Srirangapatna and JSS PU College, Nanjangud. The students of R.K. College of Nursing, Bengaluru, Government First Grade College, Mandya and JSS Polytechnic College, through their programmes, highlighted the history of Unification of Karnataka. 

Later, the students of Royal PU College, Mathikere, Bengaluru, showcased the legacy of Lord Rama. Students of Government Polytechnic College, Holenarasipura, Christ College, Mysuru and JSS Institute of Speech & Hearing, Mysuru, invoked the blessings of Navadurge and Lord Hanuman through their performance. Mysuru’s Cauvery Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital troupe created awareness on female foeticide.

Actress Priya of Kannada movie ‘Bheema’ fame, actor Rishi and comedian Shivraj K.R. Pete also added glitter to event.
