Mysuru: Mysore Zoo attracts visitors in thousands. But just a stone’s throw away is a new mini zoo that is also catching the eye of the visitors. The venue is the premises behind Dasara Exhibition Grounds where very modern, technologically designed robotic animals are on display.

In order to create awareness among children and spread the message of environment protection, National Consumer Fair organisation Director Gautam has organised the National Consumer Fair that began yesterday (June 23) and will be on till August 15. The Fair will be open from 4 pm to 9 pm and the entrance ticket is Rs. 30.

If the elephants nod their heads and roar, the gorilla beats its chest with the left hand. Zebra, Chinese Panda, Assam’s Rhinoceros, Atlantic Ocean’s Shark, Bengal’s White Tiger, Hippopotamus, King Kong, Gujarat’s Lion, Red Sea’s Dolphin, Bear, Snake, Crocodiles are all a part of the exhibits that will attract everyone to the fair.

The other major attractions are the 3D Selfie Art Gallery where the replica of Eiffel Tower is displayed. It is made out of 20 tons of steel in about 60 days by 25 welders and  helpers and two structural engineers.

Selfies can be taken as Mother Teresa blesses you with outstretched hand, you can take autograph from the later President Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, you can shake hands with Barack Obama, former President of United States, milk cows, enter into the mouth of a shark and face the dinosaur’s attack.

MLA M.K. Somashekar inaugurated the exhibition and said that this is the first time that such a fair is being organised in Mysuru. Bengaluru’s Gautam has brought it to this city in which he has taken us back to more than 50,000 years by recreating animals robotically. The Selfie Gallery using 3D is giving real life experiences to people visiting the fair, he added. There are more than 100 stalls in which toys, handlooms, handicrafts, jewellery, automobile, furniture, food court are housed.
