Nruthyathi Kalaashaale presents Samaagama-2024

Mysuru: Samaagama-2024 Annual Bharatanatyam event, presented by Nruthyathi Kalaashaale, was held at Ganabharathi’s Ramagovinda Kalavedike in Kuvempunagar  recently.

The event marked the 5th year anniversary of the institution, which has been a light of Bharatanatyam under the leadership of its Founder, Anusha Varun. Since 2008, she has been passionately imparting this timeless art form to over 500 students in Mysuru and across the globe.

Samaagama-2024 featured 80 students who delivered a rich cultural experience, captivating the audience with their talent and dedication. The event was inaugurated by esteemed Bharatanatyam artiste and Guru, K. Sandesh Bhargav, who is also the Vice-President of Global Solution & Transformation at Li & Fung. The event’s chief guest was Natyacharya K. Ramamurthy Rao, Director of Noopura Kalavidaru Cultural Trust, Mysuru.

The evening unfolded with a diverse array of performances, starting with the youngest batch of the institution presenting ‘Shloka Mala’ and culminating in the senior-most students performing ‘Melaprapthi,’ as in the traditional Vasundhara Bani.

Highlights of the night included the Tyagaraja’s Pancharatna Kriti, ‘Endaro Mahanubhavulu’ and the ‘Shrimannarayana Krithi,’ showcasing the ten avataras of Lord Vishnu. Each troupe brought its unique flair to the stage, creating a mesmerising cultural spectacle.

The enchanting performances were further elevated by a live orchestra, with Anusha Varun on Nattuvanga, Shylaja Praveen providing vocals, Vid. G.T. Swamy on the mridanga and Samruddh on flute.
