Mysore/Mysuru: The Department of Studies in Geography, University of Mysore (UoM), has organised a two-day RUSA-sponsored Conference under Faculty Development Programme on ‘Geographical Perspectives of Indian Geo-Politics’ at Geo-Manasa Auditorium, DoS in Geography, Manasagangothri, on Dec. 11 and 12.
Dec. 11
10 am: Inauguration by M.K. Savitha, Registrar, UoM. K. Arkesh, Inspector General of Police (retd.), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), will deliver the keynote address. Prof. B. Chandrashekara, Senior Professor and Chairman, DoS in Geography, will chair the event.
11.45 am to 1.15 pm: Session on ‘Geographical location of India: Geopolitical threats and challenges’ by Prof. S. Arun Das, Department of Geography, UoM.
2 pm to 3.30 pm: Session on ‘Climate change and geopolitics’ by Dr. P.N. Hemachandra, Professor, Government First Grade College, Hunsur.
