Mysore/Mysuru: A felicitation ceremony was held to acknowledge the performance of the students of Ideal Jawa Rotary School who had secured high marks in the SSLC examination 2019-2020.
The ceremony was witnessed by the dignitaries Rtn. Vasudev Bhat, Rtn. Manjesh Kumar, Rtn. MCS Manohara, Rtn. Roopa Venkatesh, Rtn. Suhas, Principal S.A. Veena, teaching and non-teaching staff and the parents of the achievers.
The ceremony commenced with an invocation song sung by Meera which was followed by welcoming the dignitaries. Significance of the day was rendered by Rtn. Manjesh Kumar, President of Rotary Mysore.
Altogether 37 students who secured 85% and above, including nine students who scored 95% and above, were felicitated. All the achievers were given cash awards.
I place: N.R. Preksha – 623/625 (99.68% – Mysuru city and school topper); II place: Sahana – 615/625 (98.4%) and Nagarjun Raju – 615/625 (98.4%); III place: U. Anagha – 613/625 (98.08%).
In his speech, Chairman Rtn. Vasudev Bhat said that with success comes more responsibility, as challenges will come their way to test not only their analytical mind but their intuitive mind as well.
He mentioned that intelligence comes from hard work and discipline. Furthermore, he encouraged the students to continue to broaden their horizons and educational base, acquire more knowledge and make a difference in their life not only as professionals but also as a good citizen.
The programme culminated with the vote of thanks proposed by Rtn. Roopa Venkatesh.
