Mysore/Mysuru: The bang of music, mesmerising dance for the beats of music and songs, which not just unveiled the glory of the land and language, also kindled patriotic spirit, reflecting the contributions of various personalities to the nation. All these and many more, summed up the mood on the sixth day of Dasara Yuva Sambhrama at Open Air Theatre, Manasagangothri in the city yesterday.
Chandana Ananthakrishna, a TV serial actress of Lakshmi Nivasa daily soap fame, set the stage on fire, as she sensuously danced to the hit song Bangle Bangari… from Yuva Rajkumar starrer Ekka Kannada film.
Clad in blue saree, she struck a chord with the youngsters in the audience. Her flying kiss to the audience, while exiting from the stage, made many hearts swooning for her.

Karunaade… the chartbuster song from Crazy Star V. Ravichandran starrer film Malla, highlighting the importance of Kannada language, was aptly recreated by the student troupe of Vishwabharathi College, Sathagalli in city.
Mahisha Mardini… the mythological story of Goddess Chamundeshwari killing demon Mahishasura, was presented in a dance ballet by the troupe of Government PU College, Pandavapura in Mandya district.

Huttidare Kannada Nadalli Huttabeku… the all-time hit song from Dr. Rajkumar starrer Akasmika, that was originally rendered by thespian actor himself, echoed the spirit of Kannada at the open air auditorium, as the students of Government PU College, Bidadi, danced for the same, followed by Shanthiniketan College of Science and Management Studies, Ramanagara, Mareyodunte Mysuru Doreya… Sri Nalwadi Krishnaraja Odeya… paying a tribute to erstwhile Maharaja of Mysore Nalwadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar, by the students of Sri Adichunchanagiri First Grade College, H.D. Kote, Mahanayaka Bheemrao… remembering the contributions of architect of Indian Constitution Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.

Likewise, dance performances on different themes like- Dasara former howdah carrier Arjuna elephant, Dasara Glory, freedom fighters Subhash Chandra Bose and Bhagat Singh, Sangolli Rayanna and Kittur Rani Channamma, kept the audience hooked for hours.
