A permanent solution for Cauvery water dispute is very clearly explained by V.R. Venugopal in SOM dated Oct.9, 2023. He has suggested to drill underground tunnel from Linganamakki Dam to Shivanasamudra to reduce the water wastage.

We have had brilliant minds like Sir MV in our country who have done so many wonderful things. In today’s world with such excellent technological help available, some brilliant engineers could bring about permanent solutions to this never-ending water problems.

Politicians with selfish motives must put an end to “blaming each other” attitudes and for God’s sake sit together and work for the “Nation First” attitude! It is very silly to always depend upon the “Rain God!!”

Solutions could be found from other avenues too only when the people who run the Government remove the prejudices and selfish attitudes from their minds and perform with a challenging and positive attitude.  Hope they realise this truth.
